The Gospel of Luke • (un)Expected
In some ways, the coming of the Messiah to Jerusalem at Passover was exactly what the Jews expected. In other ways, the coming Jesus as Messiah was the furthest thing from what anyone had imagined. They wanted peace, but didn't really see their need for the kind of peace Jesus came to bring.
