Parking
Our guest/accessible parking is just across the street at 2314 N Broadway in front of the iconic “Love This City” DENVER mural. If this lot is full, we also have a larger off-street parking lot just up Arapahoe St. and to the left on 24th St. at University Prep. Street parking is often available, and it’s free on Sundays.
What To Expect
How do I find you? Where should I park? What will the service be like? How long will it last? What’s available for my kids?
Visiting a new church can feel awkward. We get it. But here’s some info to help you know what to expect so you can come and relax and just enjoy the opportunity to worship, be encouraged, and make new friends.
Who will I meet? Grace City is a diverse mix of young singles, couples, families, and empty nesters. We’re a collection of neighbors from all walks of life and from all across the Denver metro area. We are students, entrepreneurs, teachers, trade workers, work-from-home moms and dads, retirees, and just about everyone else you can imagine. Reflecting both our urban neighborhood and the Gospel’s welcome, we’re an ethnically and economically diverse congregation by design and intention.
Is there a dress code? No. The dress is respectfully casual, so that no one is excluded by fashion.
Where should I park? We meet at a space called Asterisk Denver, conveniently located at the intersection of Broadway, Park Avenue, and Arapahoe. You’re welcome to park in our lot on the other side of Arapahoe, just in front of the large DENVER mural.
Where do I go from there? Follow the sidewalk signage to our front entrance on Park Avenue where you’ll be welcomed by our greeters. Just inside the foyer, stop by the welcome desk for some info about upcoming events and other resources. Head to your left if you have children to check in to GraceKids. Or head to the right to our cafe and auditorium spaces. Just inside the auditorium, grab a cup of fresh-brewed Jubilee coffee (or come early and you can stop by the shop next door for a speciality coffee and breakfast). There are no assigned seats, so please sit anywhere you’re comfortable.
How will I be treated as a guest? You’ll be welcomed but never be singled out. After the service, we have a voluntary “Introductions” meeting where we’d love to connect you with one of our staff for a few minutes to answer your questions and to share a bit about our ministry downtown!
What is the service like? Our worship is both structured and spontaneous, both contemporary and historic. Our services generally last about an hour and a quarter, and include music, prayers, Scripture readings, communion, and practical teaching that’s straight out of the Bible.
Is there something for my kids? Yes. Our Sunday gathering offers age-appropriate children’s programs just across the hallway from the auditorium in our amazing Grace Kids space. Our background-checked staff and volunteers will be leading your children to know, love, and enjoy God in a safe, clean, fun environment. Learn more about GraceKids.
Next Steps
Some potential next steps you might take after your initial visit:
- Give us 6 weeks to get a feel for what we are about. Church is a family, but it takes a few weeks before a new church starts to feel like family. Keep coming and let’s get to know each other!
- Join a Gospel Community. These small groups are all about developing real friendships and applying the Good News of Jesus to everyday life. Co-ed groups of 8 to 15 people meet weekly throughout Denver to share conversation, prayer, encouragement, and meals. Groups are open to everyone, regardless of age or stage of life. Contact us to learn more about groups in your area.
- Connect with a Service Team. We have a dozen or so service teams, working together from the conviction that we all have something valuable to contribute. Whatever your interests or skills, we have a fun team for you.
- Participate in an Outreach. Community engagement is about loving and serving our city, especially the marginalized, in tangible ways. Any given month, we might be serving families from the inner city school up the block, leading a prayer walk, or hosting a community outreach day where we give away food, clothing, shoes, haircuts, medical/dental care, manicures, and more.
