Dear Grace City family and friends,
As 2017 draws to a close, we have so much to be grateful for! Though numbers don’t even begin to tell the whole story of how God is transforming lives through you, here are a few quick highlights:
- 1 full-time pastor added to our staff
- 2 more clean water wells fully funded
- 3 new missionary ministries supported
- 5 more baptisms this Fall
- 10 youth participated in our first summer camp
- 250+ first-time guests at our Christmas Eve service
Even though we’ve accomplished much together over this past year, there’s so much more to be done on our mission of making and maturing disciples of Jesus Christ.
To that end I invite you to help us finish the year strong and prepare ourselves for an exciting 2018, filled with many new opportunities for advancing the Gospel together. We’re eager to see how the Lord plans and provides as we follow His direction to position our church to reach younger generations all across the city.
We know that sharing Christ with all of our neighbors – and especially younger generations where they live, work, and play – will require us to make practical sacrifices and changes, financially and otherwise. For example, we’ll need to increase funding to areas like outreach and technology, so that we can launch more online resources and community-based Bible studies (like the FCA group we just adopted at the University of Denver).
Finally, as most of you are already aware, we are losing our Community Center in 2018 due to eminent domain. To replace this and to continue to implement our citywide vision, we are looking to secure a new, more permanent “base of operation” – a place that will serve as a central hub to reach more of our city and metro area for Christ.
In order to accomplish these goals and leave an even greater Gospel footprint in 2018, I’m asking you to prayerfully consider both a generous year-end gift and a commitment to joyful giving in the year ahead. That said, we believe, with Jesus, that your faith and generosity are far more important than the amount you’re able to give (Mark 12:41-44).
If you’d like to contribute before year’s end, you may do so in person at our final worship service of the year, you may give online or by text, or you may mail a gift to Grace City at P.O. Box 202316, Denver, CO 80220 before 12/31.
In closing, remember that your gift of any amount magnifies Jesus Christ and transforms lives through the hope of the Gospel. Thank you for being a part of Grace City and sharing in the mission and vision God has given us.
Together in His service,
Matt
