- God desires to be known, therefore we commit to faithfully study, teach, and obey the Bible, where He reveals Himself and His will directly.
- God is Father, Son, and Spirit in One, therefore we embrace diversity, unity, and fellowship as essential components of our life together.
- God is the sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things, therefore we gladly welcome His preeminence, providence, and provision in our lives.
- God is the substitute Savior, therefore we celebrate the Good News of Jesus Christ as the source of our salvation, the center of our worship, and the heart of our discipleship.
- God is the indwelling Spirit, therefore we depend on His active presence to empower, guide, and transform our lives into the image of Christ.
- God is unconditionally loving and undeservedly kind, therefore we strive to be a culture of patience, forgiveness, generosity, compassion, and enthusiastic welcome.
- God is righteous and holy, therefore we set ourselves apart to Him, pursuing lives of radical nonconformity to the world, the flesh, and false religion.
- God has accepted us by free grace, therefore we reject legalistic performance and condemnation in favor of a culture of repentance, faith, and grateful submission.
- God is our Champion, therefore we eagerly invite our neighbors to hear and experience the benefits of His victory with us.
A good summary of our Christian faith is found in the Nicene Creed.
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven;
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy *catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
